Not sure where to post this. I am on invega and wellbutrin and lexapro, and I am drinking beer nearly every day. Some time ago, I'd say about 2 months to 3 months, I started having bad, dull pain right below my left rib cage. Its like a pressure, a general discomfort. I'm not sure if this is from drinking combined with my meds, or if its from being electronically torture for so long, as I've heard, it damages your internal organs.

It is good to have things checked out...they took blood and even did a MRI scan of my brain to see how much damaged I'd done while I was in hospital.Fortunately the results were fine....except for the schizophrenia.

Well, I'm sorry to say this my friends, but I've made a hard decision. I'm going to start weaning off of the meds, all of 'em. You know, I just want to see, what will happen, and I know my liver is screwed up from these meds, I'm really not drinking that much alcohol and when I do its only beer. Unfortunately, its just about every day.

Hi Sheri
I often wonder what would happen if I stopped my meds too.... but I have read that each time we become psychotic that we do our brain damage....further damage... and as you are studying do you think this might interfere with your plan of becoming a lawyer.
Sheri please go and see your doctor before you try this experiment...the alcohol affects your liver...not the meds...I was'nt drinking alot just everyday and they put me through detox...I was just partying each night and only a bottle of wine not a cask..
What happens to the children if this all goes pear shaped on you?
Why don't you go see the doctor first...
Yes...to call it straight as you would...I am REALLY concerned about your plan.
I hate my meds too but I hate being psychotic even more.
Sue

Thanks, you guys. I'm going to try to get into my doctor on Monday. I have been a target for 14 years, and it only takes 10 years of radiation in mice to get tumors. I'll let you know, sheri |

Hi again
Glad it's not your liver. Life is stressful with 2 16yearolds and the work and study that you do.
"Pain is a reminder to live"
How very true.
Keep well Sue

I had a similar trouble with my insides. I went to the doctor prepared for the worst.... and it turned out I was constipated. I'm constantly getting constipated. No joke, total truth. My problem is poo. Lots and lots of poo. So, every now and then I bust out a box of Grape Nuts and go to town.
So, who wants to have a Grape Nuts party with me? |

Good post. Sorry to hear about your constipation. And glad you have a solution for it.
My grandmother used to believe in prunes. And she would monitor us in the toilet and see how long we were spending in there. If you took too long it was time for more prunes.
