Dear Monique After reading your post i think it is best to try and get proffesional help as maybe you suffer from schizoafective dissorder, i to think every one is talking about me and get extremely paranoid. Do you have other symptoms e.g. voices or hallucinations, please try to get help and for your son to as the longer you leave it the worse it will get. Please get help for the sake of your family, i pray

Hi Monique. Thanks for seeking help for yourself and ultimately, your child. If you are diagnosed with Schizoaffective or Schizophrenia, you're going to have to take medication. It's not as bad as it sounds though. I take meds everyday, morning and at night. Sure we could all do without the meds, but they keep us sane. I'm sure that you don't want to continue on this way - it's hell, I know. Please be open to the possibility that you may have to take some medications. Your life and your children's lives depends on it. Take care and let us know how your appointment goes. Thinking of you, Cindy |

First thing. Good for you for being concerned and recognizing that there might (just might) be something wrong! That's a really good sign. I agree with what everyone else says, should see a pdoc and get things straightened away. Then he or she will tell you where to go from there. Recognizing and dealing with this potential problem is such a hard step but again, the fact that you realize this and are willing to confront this is really, really important and good!

PS I am very sorry about your sister. Was it very long ago?

I think your in the right direction. Getting a proper diagnosis first, to remove certain medical issues out as well. It sounds like your son was having migranes. I am not skits, but I did that during a migraine event once so I would see a primary doctor to rule out medical issues and a therapist to help sove some issues for you so you can seperate your emotions from your mental illness and as you resolve things in your life it helps decide what meds u should be on once the issues are removed, and if you still need medicated or a shoulder to lean on. Taking the wrong meds can be a horrifing event but taking the right meds is a pathway to healing, but doing nothing at all, changes nothing and everyday is repetative. You want some of my corn? :) |
