My interpretation of this research is in the last two sentences. (Li) lithium displaces Mg-magnesium in the cells (where most of it's good work is done) and pushes it into blood serum and elsewhere.
Which is to say that people who take Lithium and other meds might consider replenishing their cellular Mg.
