I’ve taken it in the past. 300mg/day. I take the regular now. The CR didn’t seem to knock me out like the regular does. |

That's what I'm taking 300mg a day, I just got out of the hospital yesterday "psych ward" I was previously taking Zyprexa 15mg and they switched me to this. I like this drug better, it's a 24hr slow extended release, they say you should take it around supper or a few hours before bed so it has time to work into your system to make you sleepy, my dr. gave me some regular 50mg's for a prn if I can't sleep but I've been doing alright the last week or so, it sucked with the guy in the hospital snoring and the bed being like a gym mat. I think I'll be alright with this med, seems I can think clearer and my motor skills aren't as impaired. Their making me go to anger management now 'cause of my anger/emotional problems and whatever. |

My pdoc changed me to XR today. 400mg/day and I’m glad. The regular is being phased out it seems, least around here. He told me pretty much the same as your pdoc did about taking it. I need to find a good atypical generic substitute if I have to start paying for it.
Also, at my suggestion, he switched me today from Lexapro to Zoloft generic, which I pay for, and saved me about $80/month, from $95 to $15 for a months worth. I'll have to see how good it works. The Lexapro worked good, but I love the idea of saving money. |

When i was on regular seroquel, i started taking the seroquel in about 8 or ten small dosages throughout the day and the results were much better.
I've started taking seroquel XR, it's quite good. but i've found that the results are much better taking it every 12 hrs instead of 24. i know that in marketing food companies can return greater profits by telling you a slightly simpler way to prepare food at massively reduced quality. i'm wondering if Astra Zeneca has a similar policy. it's also possible that doctors might be concerned about compliance (as all good doctors are). I'd be interested to know if other people find that they get better results taking the medication more frequently. even every 12 hours there seems to be a cycle of greater psychotic symptoms directly inbetween the dosages. i think if i become organised more i might try taking the medication every 8 hrs once my dosage is a bit more stabilised.
if anyone tries this and also gets better results, please let me know. |

I started taking Seroquel xr a few days ago Starting at 50mg working my way up to 300mg..I am feeling agitated and tired I did hear that these symptoms should hopefully pass in a few months. I am also taking Wellbutrin XL for my depression. I was on Sertraline for a few years.. But found out that Zolft is not recommended for persons with Bipolar. Do to Manic episodes.. Also did hear that regular Sertraline is given to people that have a sleeping disorder.. I was Diagnosed with with Bipolar11 and PTSD. So I am hoping this medication is the right one..
