Hello, my doctor just lowered my seroquel dose from 200mg xr to 150mg xr. The prescription wasn't ready today so I took a regular 100 mg seroqul pill I had left over. I took it much against my instinct, but my Mom threatened to call the police on me.
Alright, anyway after I took it like 25 minutes later after getting the leash to walk my dog I felt extremely disoriented, dizzy, and started to lose my balance and swing towards the ground. I felt like I had a temp. memory loss, but thew most major thing is that all my muscles went limp (still now). My muscles feel weak and I can't do anything my arms just hang.
Allright, just lookin for some advicer on wht i should do I thik i might be devoloping a disordero r dangerous reaction to these meds. I am considering refusing the meds or finding a way to hide them w/o her seeing me take it now because the meds have done nothing for me but make me feel horrible. I already went from 400 to 200 and Im thinking the withdrawal symptoms are lower risk than taking the meds themselves. She believes in psychosis if i stop taking meds abrupt. and i think i have symptoms of dnu im all stiff, cold sweat, messed up heart beat. Please help I would do the same.
Thanks. |

Hi kgblue, Talk to your doctor ASAP. Tell him you don't want to be on this med because of the side affects and if there is another med that you can take that is not so pottent. Taper off slowly, very slowly. It may take several months. Hope this helps.

There is no way I'm going on other meds. My experience has been terrible with all of them and this has probably been the most mild, albeit sedating. My doctor is weaning me slowly off the medication and me/him want to see me get off it completely. I wanted to go lower dose or off it completely last visit, but he's taking it slow and reducing the medication on average of 50mg per visit (every 4-6 weeks). Hopefully, I'll get completely off it by mid-August and never have to take medication again.
Thank you for your support and I pray for anyone experiencing problems with this or other meds.
