I couldn't find a thread about paliperidone so I thought I would start one so people could share their experiences with it.
I have been on it for over a year. I started at 3 mg and stayed like that for almost a year. At the time it was effective in keeping me free of psychotic symptoms. I didn't have any side effects for a long time until after awhile I started missing periods because of high prolactin (a hormone imbalance caused by the meds). After some of my symptoms began to return my dose was raised to 6mg followed by 9mg a month later. That is my current dose. My side effects are missed periods, twitchy legs (my pdoc says this may be because of meds but don't know for sure), restlessness.
Anyone with experiences or informations on this med please feel free to share.
