I am diagnosed with schIzo-effectIve dIsorder. I was placed on ability once and I started hallucinating 2 weeks after I started taking It. and I quite hallucinating two weeks after I stopped taking It. I jacked me up so much I was losing my mind I thought. I have had bad experiences with other med's as well.
Abilify has been fantastic to me so far. I saw a 40% decrease in my hallucinations as a result of taking it. The only discernable side effects were a ton of weight gain, but that may have been the zyprexa I was taking at the time.
now i've been taking this medicine for about a year and it has not doing that great. i'm still hearing auditory illusions. now it may not work the same way with you.
now why does everyone not post any thing on the weekends. are u too busy? now i don't want to get a bad reputation but we can start to talk about the things that bother u. please don't take offence i kinda left my self open.
The Doctor just put me on Abilify. I hope it works. The last two meds I had a reaction too. So far I just feel agatated and anxious but it probably takes a couple of weeks to get use to it. It's Sunday I didn't go to church today I just felt that I needed some down time.

this med is helping me, i am on 15 mgs.
