I was taking 40 mg of ziprasidone (geodon) twice a day. I was experiencing various symptoms of burning in my back/head/ears. I felt like I was wearing a baseball cap 24/7 and my eyes rolled around in my head when I closed them. I wanted out of this medicine so I asked my pharmacist how to wean off and he said to drop one pill for one week and then drop the other. Bad idea. I had insomnia within a week. The concern I have is I also lost brain function. Playing cards on my Kindle became difficult and playing cards with my grandma also became difficult. I felt depressed in a way I was not depressed before the medication. Has anyone else experience the loss of brain function or know anything about it? It has been 3 months since I tried weaning off and my brain function is still diminished.
