My best is my current regimen. It is 120 mg Loxapine and 17 mg Abilify. The only symtpoms I've experience on this is uncomfortble feelings and anxiety. But it took being on this dosage over a year to get to the point of my recovery now.
The worst was Clozapine. I had an adverse drug reaction to it and slept for almost 24 hours non-stop on it. And I wouldn't even get up for food or water. This was by far the worst medication for me.
I don't really have a good and bad medication but if push came to shove the best has been quetiapine and the worst has been abilify. I was on the maximum dose of 30-45mg but did little for me.
My friend said he got anxiety whilst being on 2 ap - clozaril and abilify. Once the abilify was stopped, the anxiety went away,
It is interesting that it took a year on a stable dose to get relief for you.
My problem is that I have chopped and change my meds so often that I have not really done justice to the ap I have been on.
My best antipsychotic is my current one:-respiridone. My second and third best were sulpiride and haloperidol respectively. I would name as fourth perhenazine.
My worst medication would probably be thioridazine, closely followed by Chloropromazine (largactil) and Clopixol and Stelazine.
Sorry for the lateness in replying I don't normally check
some forums like this one.
On discharge from hospital I take 225mg clozapine. I can empathize with the clozapine knocking you out. I had my serum levels checked and found even though on a relatively low dose my levels are quite high reinforcing the point drugs behave differently on individuals.
I also take 25mcg levothyroxine for hypothyroid. Have you had your thyroid checked lately. I have an acidic stomach and take lanzaprozole and kwells for drooling from clozapine.
