I have not seen any of the new The Hobbit films. I have been told that it is overrated and it does seem too short a book to make three films from. I am a bit broke at the moment anyway, and I am soon not going to be able able to do anything much other than eat sleep and see Jackie. I have spent quite a bit helping Jackie get set up and her computer and had a few bills. But to be honest Tolkien is a little bit overrated as an authour yes, The Hobbit and LOTR are great books but I am not going to go back to them for a while as I had a psychotic complex with them thinking I was Gandalf and Pink Floyd were the Hobbits and Marillion were the Elves and Orwell being Aragorn. I've got to try and read more new stuff.

Farewell to Tolkien

Fare well Tolkien, you are a great writer,
But sometimes your tales seem like
News from Bree.
Monstrous pipeweed,
Stories that were once new and fresh,
seeming a like old timey, cliched by other writers who followed you,
I sometime wonder why,
You disliked machines so much,
Or you are your genre sold us
A misleading, romantic picture of the middle ages,
Though your stories be enjoyable and great all the same.
I have to wonder fresh lands
Not all who wander are lost.
All that is gold does not glitter.
But Isearch of books anew.

We see through a glass. darkly:- St.Paul
