'It is in loving that you're loved, 'Giving, that you receive, Forgiving that you are forgiven....'
Excerpts from St. Francis of Assisi's prayer
Why not let go of suffering Ego, or personal interest for a hurt loved one, and reach out a hand?
Why not forgetting one's personal or family's or friend's miseries and Pain - and try to make a beautiful world for others who have it worse than us?
It is so easy to help.
O.K. - case in point, those here are trying to find pragmatic and useful help for schizophrenia- but wait, hear me out - I have found, a confessed mentally ill member of this community, and fellow sufferer, disturbed by mental illness and grief - I have found consolation in helping other people, verifying that I have encountered some peace of mind and 'respite' and 'consolation' by helping my fellow men. What I did specifically doesn't matter. If you or a loved one suffers, and would only but let go and try to seek aiding others as a way for replenishment and alleviation, I trust a Higher Law that dictates that you will certainly find 'help' for yourself or a loved one struggling with schizophrenia or any other mental illness by tending for and caring for the poor, needy, outcast, and forgotten from your social circle. It is by overlooking your personal Pain and despair that, when, reaching out for your fellow brother, you will find relief for your or a loved one's condition. |
