Your true friends will show up when you're diagnosed with such a stigmatizing disease, and they do not bother with appearances, or judge, wrongly, or do not even care - if they are with a categorical 'nut-job.' Or even if they themselves are maybe crazy 'chili peppers.' LOL They know you are not measured by a society of 'appearances.'
Weigh things wisely. Your friends will never hold mental sickness against you, or judge you for being 'different' from the 'tribe.' Perhaps they, also in the relative degree of things, also do not 'fit in.' A lot here can be said of perspective.
As a matter of fact, your true buddies will be inclusive, and will want you 'into the fold,' no matter how 'loco' you have become, or how 'crazy' they themselves are. They will by all means bring you into the group.....
It is in these hours that we face true hardship that our friends can be found; nothing else - or more - than another true, truly authentic human being - to accept you for who you are, and never whatever 'respectable' parameters you have to be, and they will shower you with compassion.
It is in these trying times that we can clearly perceive who truly cares for us, seeing beneath the 'cloak' of appearances and hypocrisy. Many false 'friends' will simply disappear, out of outright lies and falsehood, and fade away....game of appearances? Yes - truly!!!
It is now - that you're diagnosed with an aggravating condition - that boundaries melt, and you can see clearly, and transparently- who you can count on; someone who does not judge you, or 'label' you, or cast you aside - like many so-called liars.
Keep your head up high - and know that those who are willing to suspend judgment upon you, and never have differences with your condition -are those who you can really count on in your life. |
