The Chargers signed Rivers to a four-year extension of $83 million in the year, but the structure of the deal isn't prohibitive for him to be traded. The cap-to-cap hit won't exceed $22 million until this year, so it's simple for teams to move out of after the 2018 season.
Then again, the Chargers really truly need as much support from their fans as they are able to get ... something that they're lacking after going through so many losses lately as well as the Bosa standoff, and the whole alienating fans by threatening relocation. If they could fire Mike McCoy and make the appropriate moves during the offseasonperiod, they may be competitive again sooner than you think. However, that's certainly a major gamble for an organization that hasn't accomplished much of anything positive, in the field or off.

Madden NFL 24 players voted to approve the new collective bargaining offer from the owners by a narrow margin of 1.019-959 votes. Approximately 500 Madden NFL 24 players did not take part in the vote. However, the CBA, which will go until 2030. was approved by the vote of a majority. It's what I've been expecting at some point however, the margin was unexpected.
The agreement was accepted, even with a vocal group of veteran players on social media and within the union. I'm aware that there's a debate about players choosing to vote in light of the current political climate, such as the coronavirus virus outbreak and the panic in the stock market, but I find that hard to believe. I'm convinced that this CBA was probably always getting approved. Here's why.
