My definite best nondrug therapy has to be my psychiatrist. Unlike most psychiatrists, my psychiatrist gives his patients an hour therapy session. We talk about daily things and how I'm coping with a mental illness. Our conversations are not scripted and he is so easy-going and has the biggest heart ever. He'll never talk down to you and make you feel a lesser person. He's extremely humble and is considered one of Canada's best psychiatrists. He's been practicing for a long, long time. That's why I trust him so much is because he's seen it all. Mostly, however, he is so kind and gentle and you know his heart is with you. He is also very knowledgeable in the field of psychiatry and in other non-related fields as well. He is truly a great psychiatrist. Most of all, however, he is truly a wonderful person. |

That's great fillet. My pdoc also brings his patients to Hawaii, Alaskan cruise, and other places as well. Every Wednesday night is "Movie night" along with a dinner beforehand. We had volleyball night for quite some time before and he, along with his wife, always go to patients' graduation, opening show at some art gallery for his artist clients, and of course, weddings! As you can see, my pdoc is the best pdoc in the world! Hoorah! Sincerely, Cindy |

The worst drug treatment has got to be flupenthixol. It would make me so depressed the day I had the shot. The worst psychiatrist has got to be the one I had who has now retired. You'll find most psychiatrist script because all they do is a mental state examination. They listen to the way you speak, cognition, any signs of paranoia etc.
It's good chunky that your psychiatrist is also your friend. |
