cpamendo, that illustrates what I was saying perfectly except you were feeling it more intensely than me. This is not confined to you. The gripping pressure was what brought on the intense anxiety of annihilation which is total paranoia caused by paranoia.
IMO, and it appears to be in the minority, paranoia feeds on itself to the point that it squeezes the brain which increases the paranoia and voices. In order for this to happen resistance and immunity are damaged throughout the body which feeds the negative thinking.
The feeling of paranoia is when you feel overwhelmed and boxed in with no recourse by "them", the devil, or your neighbors, or the government. This is exactly what happens to the brain. Immune defenses are overwhelmed by hormones and negative paranoid thinking. The brain itself, in certain areas in the frontal lobes, is squeezed by surrounding tissues caused, again, by the persons thoughts. The cause is cascading negativity followed by impaired immunity followed by voices and on and on.
SCZ is a metaphor of itself. It is real and it also is TELLING US HOW IT DOES WHAT IT DOES. It is telling us the cause and the cause is right in back of our noses if we just look for it. |

cpamendo, I am also impressed that you say the voices of the devil come from your heart. I can tell you that the heart communicates with the brain and mind. There are Chi Gong exercises that include breaking the negative feedback loop between the heart and the brain/mind. It is as simple as smiling into the heart area and having the heart smile back. What happens, as a result, is that when the two energies come together the body is engulfed in red energy. If you or anyone does this seriously over a period of time the negative loop is broken. I know that genetics is part of it for me. No one in my family has been diagnosed sz but there has been multiple cases of depression, anxiety, bipolar, attempted suicide etc. Drug use is also a factor as I was a heavy pot smoker in the years preceding my illness. I also was under a huge amount of stress in the 2 years prior to my initial psychosis. I think all these things came together to create my illness. |

I think there is an extent that genetics plays a role.
LSD and the like are to be avoided like the plague I think. Probably cannabis and cocaine as well. I never did illicit drugs however.
I think my excessive consumption of tea and coffee made a wee bit of a difference it aggravated it, probably still does. I can still chain-drink tea and coffee.
I think malnutrition can be a contributing cause. I was vegetetaian (for ethical reasons)in the 6 months prior to my first hospital admission, and to be honest I think I wasn't eating properly. You have to be a good cook to be vegetarian. I have been taking fish oil capsules (omega 3 and Omega 6) for quite a number of years and I think they have made a significant improvement to my mental health along with the multivitamin I take.)
Never again will a story be told as though it is the only one:- Anon |
