Yes, I seem to have this problem. I used to do contacting for IBM mainframes and compatibles. Way back before I got ill (1988). I could charge up to $100.00 AUD per hour which translates to up to $4,000 a week.
When I got ill, I lost my concentration and would just stare at the screen for hours. I lost my job several times because of this. Now, I am living on disability pension.
My brother has the latest gadgets (TV, CVR, ....). now, I could not even seem to put the VCR on pause.
I have been working on a personal project for several months now. The project involves providing an IDE for a shareware available for Linux. I have no problem with the design of the IDE. The problem is that I could not seem to follow the logic of the shareware.
I tried to contact a friend of mine who has a contracting agency. I was not asking for a job, just coming in at a regular time and do my work there. I am thinking that if I can just organize myself such as waking up at a regular time, go to the office and come home in the afternoon, I can at least get part of the things that I lost.
At the moment, I go to sleep at 1 in the morning and wake up around 4 in the afternoon. My waking hours are spent surfing the net or watching television.
