i have found that some problems are physical and some are persoanal. For example if u are lacking a chemical is your brain or someting you need medication to fix it. and alternitavly if u have had an event in life affect u, u need ot see a shrink and sort it out. of course mads will help in both cases, but only in the first case will it fix it entirly. I myself had events that messed me up (father committed suicide, my brother was excessivly violent to me) but meds did nothing for me, the problem was pwersonal. after i had seen a shrink for a couple of years i found that i could cope without meds. i never took them anyway, i just knew i didnt need em i guess. My point is that today gp's are all too ready to hand out meds and too slow to get u too see a shrink. im in aus and the public mental health system sucks, so i had to go private. lucky i found an inexpensive one. just seriously think about what u are taking cause the effects are long term or can be anyway. if u just need councilling then get it. dont be ashamed, everyone needs help at one time or another. Just be gratefull that u realise what ur problem is and ur not jsut another workaholic zombie that refuses to deal with it. |
